The Bird Flu has finally hit the USA. This poor little fella is being consoled by a friend. Actually, this is Tater's favorite toy.  She got in in California 10 years ago and still plays with him every day.  It is "CHICKEN" and you have to yell it for her to fish him out of the basket.  She has at least a few hundred toys.  While they are in desperate need of boiling, she seems to love each of them equally with the exception of "CHIIIIIIIICKEN" who she loves the most. This other thing makes the most awful squeeeeeling and honking noise you could ever possibly hear.  It has a double squeeker and honks on the "IN" as well as the "OUT so there is no chance of even a quiet second when Tater attacks. She rolls on it and tries her hardest to make as much noise as she can. It is a cry for attention and the cry is like that of a Yeti in the Hymalayas. She can fish them out by name.  Clamchop, Chippie, Felephant... She pulls them out as their names are called.  Of course we have to do their voices for her to know who we are talking about. Cowie, Penguino.  She can't get enough of her dollar store plush toys and the ones with the squeekers are her favorites. Many have become mute from ruff play. But "CHIIIIIIIICKEN" still sings like a Canary.  She loves this toy and I believe she will always favor it to any other toy we may bring home. Poor little fella.  He ain't-a-lookin' good.
