Making Rice Pudding and lamenting a loss......

We went to the UT/Vandy game today.  Of course Kevin's favorite team is UT but he cheered for Vanderbilt becase I work there and got free tickets. We had to sit with all my co-workers and wear black and gold or they wouldn't give us our free tickets.  my dearest guy yelled and screamed and cheered on my losing team to show his support (for me I'm guessing) but also the Commodores who need local support.  The problem is that UT is the STATE TREASURE. How do you even compete. They played Rocky Top 27 times before we creeped out sad and dejected. Kevin was mad at the Vandy fans for being so unsupportive. The problem is that the academic standards are so high at Vanderbilt that they work the ball players to death with high expectations and they literally have less practice time and get benched if they don't maintain grades. We are such a pissy/snobby school.  I found myself mumbling under my breath to the visiting UT fans "93 Felony free".  That was the last year they didn't have a football player or two charged with a felony.  I also cheered that we have 5 Pulitzer Prises so we win no matter what,lol.  Kevin kept reminding me that I was waving my gold Vandy PomPom every time UT's band played Rocky Top.  The truth is we root for UT all year long and only this one day a year are w conflicted. But, I work at Vanderbilt and we toe the line. Kevin is a real Peach.  We are going to see the Gians play the Titans and even though I'm a New Yorker and the Giants trained right near our house when he and I lived there we can cheer for the Titans because nobody will tell my boss that I'm rooting for the other team.  My assistat was there and took her friend daughter (who picked up a young college guy rooting for UT) Sue, I mean Myrtle, was less than amused.  She is a Vandy Only fan. My bosses secretary, I mean Admin 4, was there, my hairdresser Judy, my co-fundraising competition  was there. My boss was suspiciously absent.  Perhaps an affair? Nah, just teasing. Anyhow, I am lucky.  The weather was great, Kevin was and is sweet, and we have next year. Our Baseball, Basketball, and Ladies Basketball teams are better.  We are getting season tickets to the Ladies Basketball. Kevin's brother in law's assistant is a big fan and we can all go together when we can.
