Hey all you civil rights buffs....................................................

Just so fucking wrong.
All people always say is "what about the children". They always forget the ones who really suffer. How tough to be one of the little strange ones. How sad I am for all these kids who for no fault of their own are allowed to be punished and treated so badly. You're a kind soul and I am always so happy to hear from you.

That's horrifying and disgusting. So this victim gets shot because he "freaks" someone out?! Who gave the other kids the idea that a guy who dresses like a girl is something to "freak out" about?

I would be more freaked out by the kid who actually pulled the trigger on another human being. THAT is something to be freaked out about.

That is just sick.

What exactly can drive a kid to simply pull out a gun and shoot another, simply because he cross dresses?

You know, personally I'd be more freaked out by the kid with the gun than the kid wearing girls clothes to class....

Now two 14 year old boys are lost forever. The poor dead child and the life ahead for the gun slinger. I shouldn't care about that little bastard but I do. Somebody taught him that. Somebody had a gun laying around the house unprotected. His parents should go to jail also. They are really at fault.
It's what he learned at home Aput and his father provided the gun. Not by placing it in his hand but by leaving it where a child could get it. I was moved to tears when I heard that the family donated the organs so that others might live. I am guessing nobody will turn down the "freaky" organs. The pain his family must be feeling. They had spent 14 years trying to protect their child from society and unfortunately they lost. But they still managed to do a good thing to remember this little sad lost life. This poor little child.
As a child I moved a lot. when starting a new school I would get involved in activities to meet people. I am a watcher of people and when I would see someone being shuned or abused I always befriended them. then the "cool" kids would say, "Oh stay away from that freak". I would ask "Hm have you ever stopped to talk with them nice kid". Assholes. grrrrrr
It's a depressing fact, but I'll be the one to say it here. If people don't believe that killing a gay adult is wrong, they're not likely to believe that killing a gay kid is wrong.

The very essence of prejudice is distinction. Thomas Jefferson is famous for his statements on human equality - yet he owned slaves. Every form of bigotry in history has involved setting one group aside as less human - as somehow undeserving of the same protections afforded to other people. Thus, those who call themselves civil rights buffs but do not care about the rights of GLBT people will continue to do so, unmoved by any case like this. Their reasoning: GLBT people aren't "people."

What a shanda.
WTF.
I really wonder what those boys would have thought of him just a year later in high school. Would it have affected them as much? How does a year or two really make that much of a difference? It's still so sad that it happened.
